Sid J. Greehey

President

With more than 40 years in the oil and gas industry, Sid J. Greehey began his career as a Landman and Land Manager with responsibilities in prospect generation, property acquisitions and divestitures.

 

After graduating from SMU, Mr. Greehey joined Border Exploration, which eventually became part of Coastal States. In 1982, he left with then President of Coastal States, to start the South Texas exploration division for H.R. Bright of Bright & Company. In 1989 Mr. Greehey left  to purchase the controlling interest in Integrity Industries, a small wholesale drilling fluid company. Under Mr. Greehey’s direction, Integrity Industries expanded operations into the Austin chalk horizontal drilling play, providing drilling fluids, engineering and services for hundreds of wells.

In 2002 he formed what is now Greeheyco, Inc. in order to continue his personal exploration interests and to diversify his investments. In 2012, Greehey developed a 300,000+ acre lease play in the Montana Bakken which was sold to Apache Corporation. He also acquired the majority interest in the St. Anthony Hotel in downtown San Antonio, as well as other real estate assets, including the Quarry Golf Club. 

 

Mr. Greehey earned a B.A. from Southern Methodist University while on a football scholarship. He studied Petroleum Land Management at the University of Texas where he also completed numerous geology courses. After years as President of the Board, Mr. Greehey is now an advisor to the Board of Directors of Lutheran High School of San Antonio. He is also a long-time member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church where he also sings in the choir.
